Flickerfest 2011 returns to Noosa by popular demand on Saturday, February 19, showcasing seven of the best short films from Australian filmmakers. Highlights include The Telegram Man, starring Jack Thompson, Gary Sweet and Sigrid Thornton; Bee Sting, starring Brendan Cowell and Matilda Brown; and Glenn Owen Dodds, featuring David Wenham. Tickets cost $15 for adults or $13 for concessions. The bar opens at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start. The event is rated MA 15+ and is licensed – all under 18s must be accompanied by a guardian. Australian Surf Movie Festival.Saturday 19th February, 2011

Catch the Australian Surf Movie Festival at Noosa Bicentennial Hall, Sunshine Beach, on Saturday, February 19, from 7.30pm - a unique night of surf movies and live Oz music. Band of Frequencies, The Dave Flower Band and Jeremy Donovan will perform.
Films include the new “Who is J.O.B.” and the visually stimulating footage collected by Tim Bonython on the road during 2010.

Influence by David Williamson at Noosa Arts Theatre from April 20 delves into the world of talk-back radio shock jock Ziggi Blasko whose power rests in his influence. He fills Sydney's airwaves with his appeals to common-sense and his lashings at political correctness. He is courted by the world. But in the private sphere Ziggi's influence is fading away.
Ziggi's second wife is a spoiled princess who spends like an oil baron, his daughter is bipolar, and his father reveals a past which threatens to finish Ziggi's career.
Director Sam Coward has an enviable record in bringing to the coast cutting-edge theatre which thrills audiences – Jesus Christ Superstar, Shout, La Ronde.
